Ahhh~ ごめん!

ごめんなさい!
I haven't written much! Sorry! I have been busy, but I thought today to blog.

Blog about what?

About things I find intresting~ Haha.

But first, a quick update on my oh so boring life. Everyday I catch my train at 12:21 to head to Ogori so I can get there on time, I've realized it's about a 15 minute ride with the express so I always end up at school a little early~ Being early here in Japan can be considered a good thing since being late anyway is kinda bad. I know if I am late to class they have said in the rules they will not let me attend class then, though they do let you still stay in class I'm pretty sure you get a stern talking to. Either way, Because my class (all of 2 people LOL) has to play catch up with the April class we only have 夏休み (Natsuyasumi or rather summer break) between the 6th and the 21st of next month, where as the other classes have from today to the 29th of next month. Me and my other classmate are basically working our asses off during their break so that when they come back on August 29th we can merge into their class.

It is...tiring haha.

So far we've gotten a lot of homework. We usually have 4 classes, from 1:15 to 4:40 and 2 teachers, 河の先生 and 石田先生. Kawano-sensei (河の) is wild and fun, She's an older woman and she really knows how to teach, she's quick but makes sure to explain every bit of Kanji, its fantastic because she's so funny and just fun in general. Ishida-sensei (石田) is this tiny adorable woman, She lives in Ohashi where I used to live and so yesterday I met her on the way home and had a great chat while we rode the express until I had to get off at Shimoori. She's sweet but stern and also a lot of fun, she always talks with me about weird things like eating chicken feet or eating bear meat in hokkaido, it's a lot of fun talking with her. All the teaches in NILS are pretty awesome, Fuchita-sensei also has wildly weird convos with me, like stuff about going to maid cafes and such, everyday I say good morning to him in a high pictched voice since he had once imitated a girl like that. Hirao-sensei is this bad ass fast talking little ball of energy of a woman, she teaches quick but well...and the most awesome thing? She rides a motorcycle...a red one, and today I watched her ride off into the sunset on it. It was pretty awesome, I think Im in love hahaha.

Susuki-sensei is this cute adorable woman who is very strict in teaching, she always makes me straighten my paper and such but I dont mind. She loves cats and stuff like me so we talk about that every once in a while. There's a couple more like Yano-sensei and Miyazaki-sensei but we'll just leave it at "awesome people, cool teachers, great coversations." So moving on, to sum up my days, I go to school, finish school, meet up with Adrian (sometimes Thorne or my other classmate) and go eat, or do something fun, after I come home, eat, talk and laugh and hang out with girls from my housing, and then sit around in my room watching TV...Like now...LOLOL at Harry potter in japanese, I have to laugh.

So on to things I find weird..yeah.

First of all since I watch a lot of TV...commercials are...Hilarious. For example...Chocoball:

The Chocoball commercial I usually see has to do with them on the top of a builiding...in which the bird turns around and suddenly has laser eyes as it nearly beams the one guy off of the tower, its kinda...funny as hell.

For your enjoyment...the banana commercial..no words....just watch it.
There's a million other commercials I love but to have them all here would be the longest video line ever. Just Youtube Japanese Commercials and you'll have laughs for hours.

Another thing I find intresting is Japanese people themselves.
For example...When getting on the train, they will sometimes book it to get inside and snag a seat. By book it I mean in the polietest way possible they sneak/slip past you as quickly as they can to get in the train car and then just toss them selves down like nothing happened. It's funny watching all the older ladies shuffle on quickly to steal a seat they eyed. Another thing, now this is just a culture shock kind of thing, "Bless you" or any other form of it is not said when someone sneezes, nothing in fact is said and so it is extreamly awkward when I sneeze and then expect a "bless you" or something like from my friend who I'm talking to...only for her to just go on talking like nothing happened. I think it's funny.
Also, just in general, how polite Japan is, just for a small bump on the shoulder I get 10+ "sumimasen" and 20+ bows.

Japanese Television...Yes this kind of ties in with the commercials bit but whatever I do what I want LOL.
Recently on Saturdays I get to watch my show...Aka Arashi ni Shiyagare which loosly translate into Arashi (the group name) Just do it. The show is all unscripted and improve, Arashi has no idea who is coming until the show has started and the guest arrives, funny insues. That however is not the point,(since it's not really crazy? and I just love arashi) Usually what seems to be possible as of lately is Doctor dramas, Music shows, or...these extreamly intresting "truth or lie" shows. What happens is they tell you a story, "such and such ate a 1 day expired icecream and when she woke up she had horrible red spots all over her skin, open sores, and she could hardly breathe" They provide a dramatized version of the story and then ask "Shiro? Kuro?" Shiro is truth Kuro is lie. That story turned out to be truth, but either way, sometimes the stories that they come up with are giggle worthy.
Other popular things on TV include lots of gag and then one really heartfelt story about something. This one show makes me die with cuteness of animals or other things, kittens and such and then makes me boohoo after with this sad story of an animals life. Best...show...ever.

One thing popular here in Japan is easy things.
If it's easy people like it. So thus cup noodles, cup curry, food you have to heat up, or anything of the like, people love. Esp. if it's easy AND cheap. Hair dye in the form of foam, full meals you can get heated up at the 7/11 or Lawson, anything of that sort, is the bomb diggity here. Also anything with a fancy name, or with fancy ingredients is pretty boss too. Stuff with english on it, or with big vitamin names "Arginine" or just "amino" is gobbled up here. Things that are "good for you" are also really popular. Collogine drinks, vitamin drinks, healthy drinks, energy jelly...all my friends like these sorts of things...as well as other people I have met, and I kinda like them too so LOL.

One last weird thing I find here is Japan...candy.
They have all kinds, gummies, hard candies gums...but that obviously isnt weird to me at all. No, no, no...it's what they flavor their candies. Okonomiyaki (which is a pancake like food with lettuce and squid and sauce and mayonaise and such) Beef, Chicken, Pork, Bacon, Fish, Spices, Curry, all these have been flavors for candies...it's ridiculous. There are the usual root beer, icecream, those kinds...but I have seen some pretty crazy ones.

Since tomorrow is Saturday I will clean my room and such, so when I'm done with that I will make a video on my room and where I live. Dont expect this epic room since I have yet to really decorate but I wanted to show friends and other family my room. So till then! Byyyeee

-Dead-

So my computer is being mean to the Yamakasa photos and I will have to upload them another day. I dont know whyyyy this is happening, I think my computer and internet just hate me...their in shenanigans together...i swear it.

Since yesterday was Sunday Adrian and I decided to go out, esp. since neither of us went out yesterday, we were looking to just get out and do something. Me being the creepy cat lady I am, brought up that we should go to a cat cafe I had searched about, and Adrian being awesome agreed to acompany me there. So we first agreed to meet up around 1 to go to the game center and play some games, along with us taking so purikura for fun. After we went to this store similar to the American spencers but filled with more insane shit, It was intresting to see all the things inside, since it had some pretty wild stuff. Finally we went off in search of the cat cafe and eventually we found it, with me super excited. Yesterday...at the cat cafe...they had...

...kittens

-dead-

There were soooo many of them, all running around playing with toys other people waved, immedietly I was in heaven. So we decided on staying for 90 and I got my serious cat fix. They were all so cute, and extreamly playful, I got to cuddle and pet and pick them up all I wanted, to say I was happy was an understatement. Because I miss my cats at home it was something I had missed, petting and playing with my cats, I will definatly be going back atleast once a month to get my kitty fix, esp. since it was cheap for 90 min. of cat playing, a dessert and a drink (1300). Ahhh~ I miss my cats

Afterwards we headed out to a movie theater to see the last Harry Potter since it was the last one and I have wanted to see it. It was an extreamly good movie, and it was great to see how everyone matured, plus I lol'd at the very end. Then we whisked ourselves home and I skipped to my dorm where I rolled around on my bed and then watched some TV. All in all a great day~

Late post is late

nt updated in a while~ I know, I've been kinda busy with school since it's the first week but I should be back to writing all this BS now that I've got the swing of things.

So first off, quick update on what I've been doing...

Obviously I've been going to school, doing that whole learning thing and what not, it's kind of nice getting up everyday to go do something but at the same time there are days I just want to be lazy as all get out. Usually after school I go with Adrian somewhere and we study and practice talking and all that shenanigans and it's nice cause he's really cool and he's my total "big brother" here. Other then school, I did my grocery shopping, which I forgot some things so I have to go back, so my little fridge is getting nice a full~. I nearly got attacked by a bug last night doing my laundry, I ran inside and locked the door so fast it was like lightening...uuuuhhh....I cleaned? a little? Yeah kind of and I'm offically unpacked which is realllllly nice.

So now that thats done! I want to talk about what I did this morning...

And by this morning I mean at 3 am.

So every year there is a festival call Hakata Yamakasa that obviously takes place in Hakata. The tradition streaches back to som 750 years ago in like 1241 when a Buddhist preist named Shouich Kokushi was carried through the town of Hakata on a platform and sprinkled with holy water to eradicate the evil spirits responsible for a plague that had struck the town. So from July 1st to the 15th this Festival takes place and at 4:59 AM on July 15 is the climax of the entire thing, also known as Oiyama. Basically what happens is a whole bunch of guys get together and make like a "float" or Kakiyama and Kazariyama, that they then have someone sit on as they carry it in a race to see who can make it to the finish line in the best time. They all wear an outfit called mizu happi or "short coats" and pretty much run like mad men while they carry this float down the street with the men on top screaming out chants for them to keep going and other men throwing buckets of water on them to keep them cool.

Needless to say it was amazing to see.

There's all these floats being held up by men, and then hundreds of other men standing around to also run and help out. Their all wearing the mizu happi which is basically a T-shit and little cloth thong paired with little black boots, so I can say I've seen a mad amount of ass and not all of is was pleasent, though it was still kind of funny. There's so many people there that its crazy trying to squish your way through it all, and theres so many food stalls that you just want to eat everything. Not to mention everyone is tired and seriously drunk since drinking is a huge part of it and drunks were everywhere just having a grand old time, even the men carrying the floats tend to drink before hand, there were huge bottles of sake everywhere.

So I woke up at 3, caught the train and met up with Adrian, grabbed some alcohol and walked down the streets just enjoying the festival for all it is...madness. At 6 it finally rounded up with the biggest float hauling ass down the road while it blew mist from the dragons nose and people chanted like no bodies buisness. It was all so fantastic that I'm glad that even though I hadnt slept I had gone to see the festival itself. Eventually I got back at 7:30, took a nap till 10 went and took my test that I had for school and succeded in staying in class without passing out from just how tired I am. Now Im back in my dorm all nice and cool, about to watch the rest of my movie and relax before going to bed whenever I feel like it. Ah~

For the record I am going to post pictures when my computer isnt being stupid with the company of my internet

Ahhhh~

It's late here...I know...I'll sleep soon

I thought I would just give a quick update on how my boring life is and what I did today~.

I did...

Nothing.

Juuuusstt kidding. I did stuff haha. Well first of all I woke up at 12, rolled out of bed and then sat myself down to watch my drama since I havent finished it and I should be done but Im not...so anyway, I start watching that when Adrian calls, we talk a little, agree to meet up later and then Im rushing off to Lawsons to get a ham and egg sandwich since I had been craving it since the night before. Even now I want to eat it which is insane since I would think I wouldnt want to...but I do...whatever. So I get my sandwich and come back here to watch more drama and skype my mom before heading out to meet with Adrian in Tenjin to hang out.

Since it is ofcouse Saturday night Tenjin was packed, people every where doing everything, but it was extreamly hot out since it was later (like 6...something....7...? was it 8?). We headed over to my favorite place in the world, Tenjin core and did some walking around while we talked about different styles and such, and laughed about stupid shit per usual. I of course bought something (sorry mommy -dead-) and then vowed to not buy anything else clothing or material related for a while since thats not really why I moved to Japan in the first place. but I will say that shopping here is amazing when and if you have the money because I dont know if some people know this but Japan is one of if not the most exspensive place on the earth. Its ridiculous how much I have paid for things in general, not just clothing or shoes which is hecka lots of money, but also on accesories, housing goods, blankets ect. My advice to any one wanting to move here...get a job first and save money up (which isnt what i did but shame on me) and then get a job here later (like im going to do) Money in japan seems to go quickly. (without a train pass i pay 450 each way from Ohashi to Ogorti...thats 900 yen.)

So after we shopped we headed over to an english pub to meet up with Matt, another american who was leaving Japan in 3 weeks to head home, for some drinks and good chatter. Man was it packed in there, lots of other americans, and foreigners in general and a lot of drunks which were kind of funny to see. This one guy literally screamed the bar girls name for a good 2 minutes and when she acknowledged him he only gave a goofy grin and waved...I lol'd like no other. When the clock hit 11 though Adrian, Matt and I had to hurry back to the station to catch the express at 11:30 so that we could make it home in time to not turn back into pumpkins. Since they had to go to ogori which is like 30-45 min from Tenjin and I had to go to Ohashi which is all of 2-5 min, we bid farewell to each other (after trying not to laugh at this one guy who was spread legged and not wearing underwear) and I hustled my way home trying to hold in my laughter at the drunks that roamed the street and that one passed out guy whose friend was crying and laughing at the same time.

Got home, stripped on the spot since I of course didnt leave me aircon on and then hurried to turn it on while I started up my computer and gathered things to pack. I offically move on Monday at 10 in the morning but have a room inspection at 9 so i plan to clean clean clean and pack pack pack tomorrow after i sleep sleep sleep. Though I already have most of my packing done so its mostly cleaning and sleeping for me tomorrow. So i packed up, watched more drama, LOL'd at Yahyah and her stalker ways and then hurried out to the drink machien in my pajamas like an idiot to get a c.c lemon whiiiicchhh is pretty much one of my favorite drinks ever. Then i got back, freaked out about this huge ass spider in my effing room while trying to squish it quietly so i didnt bother my neighbors here in the Gakusei-kaikan. technically i just shoo-ed the spider out of my door and was then done with it before I sat here to write this boring, tmi, entry which my mom will probably laugh at and probably frown at since 1. I am her special ed daughter and 2. I went shopping again. I love you mommy~

Ugh I need to attend shop-o-holic's anon...

Good night!

Offical first day fer suuureee

Today was my first day~

As usual I got up before my alarm clock, I had woken up and checked my Itouch to see that it was 9:30 and I was getting up at 10 so I told myself to sleep the 30 minutes and then start getting ready. Except my Itouch was on the wrong time and it was really only 8:30 when I checked it so when I offically got up at what I thought was 10 it was only 9. I had my small hissy fit before I skyped my family and then started to get ready for school. Since I have morning classes I went and hoped on a 12:15 express train and off I was for Ogori trying to ignore the weird guy in the two seats next to me eyeing me like I was a unicorn...to which maybe I am to him...i dont know. Either way, i found out when getting off at Ogori that the train conductor had been a hottie and wondered why exactly he chose that job as I hiked it up and the strairs and then out of the station on my way to school.

I arrived early, like I usually do, which probably some how bothers someone...or atleast I have a feeling, since I tend to be there 10-15 minutes before I have to and I feel like they feel they have to tend to me, it's whatever. Either way, switched to my slippers, grabbed my attendance sheet and chatted with another teacher as he led me to the S-4 classroom. Here comes the sucky part...wait for it...waiiiiittttt....I was...alone TA-DA. Seriously I was, I was the only person in my "class" for today and for how ever much longer which is you were wondering was yes 1. awkward and 2. lonely, but it was all good since my teacher and I could have one on one kinda thing. My teacher today was Shimogawa-sensei~ She is the biggest sweet heart on the face of the planet and if she was my teacher forever I'd pretty much be happy.

So we talked for a little, mainly about what I liked about japan, and what I liked to eat before we started class. This was just a refresher for all my Hiragana and Katakana to make sure I had the right stroke orders so it was a little easy but still nice to go over. After we had break for five minutes, and this is where I found out that Shimogawa-sensei and I both like 1. Arashi and 2. good looking men, Not to mention she wants to get married soon and I want a boyfriend soon so we talked about that as well...but mainly about Arashi and why I like Ohno. We started class shortly after and continued from there. All in all it was a good 3 3/12 hours of class and I really enjoyed talking with Shimogawa-sensei. She also told me Hirao-sensei likes Arashi too and so when we left the classroom and Hirao-sensei was there we all talked down the stairs about who we liked in Arashi and how cool they were. She also wondered why I like Ohno and I lol'd forever because he gets no love from my teachers, Sho and Aiba apparently took their hearts~

So finally I headed home, catching the express to Ohashi where I ate Curry rice since I was dying for it...literally dying, and also where I had to buy a new umbrella cause my cute little one broke. After I shuffled to my dorm, slipped into my room and promptly rolled around before signing online to talk to YahYah and do other lazy things before I study study study like a good student.

Wahhh~ I'm tired

Ahhh~ Lazy-ness

Today I was lazy~ yaayy.

Since I had already taken my tests my teachers told me to stay home today and thus I relaxed~. I had tried to sleep in, thinking I could sleep atleast until like 1 or 2, but since I've kind of gotten used to waking up early I kept waking up. First at 8 then at 9 and finally I decided to just get up at 12 when I woke up yet again, after which I thought my ipod had magically dissapeared since I have fallen sleep with it and woke up without it...it turns out I had at some point coiled it up and put it in the pouch in my backpack hanging above my bed, I laughed when I found it.

So I got up, messaged around with Yahyah before I called her since I have a temporary loan phone for right now. Yahyah is short for Shamyah who is in Kyoto and is awesome and magically and wonderfully cool and who totally acts like my twin on most occasions, it's crazy. Anyway, we talked for a while, to which my pre-paid phone told me to add some more money, and then hung up so we could both go shower. I however never ended up showering though since I got caught up talking to Chelsea and in the end when Yahyah came back on I had told her I had been talking and not showering. At which point I realized I was hungry and decided I would run to Lawson to grab lunch and what not before I came back to do Laundry (I have so much shit it isnt even funny) and possibly shower. It was raining so I had to go out looking all frumpy since I didnt want to ruin any clothes and I was to lazy to do my hair and makeup...which is amazing.

Still havent showered haha, but I ate a really really yummy ham and egg sandwich from Lawson and I did throw the rest of my laundry into the wash and dryer before I sat down to study study study and chat with Yahyah and my cousin. Which since Im washing half my laundry and drying the other half I have to keep going to the 5th floor to first throw clothes in, wait an hour, go up to put them in the wash, wait 30, throw the other half in, wait 30 min, go up and take clothes out, wait 30 min, and then go up again to put the finished washed clothes in the drying, so now Im waiting an hour to get them. On that whole party trip I nearly ran into this extreamly good looking boy~ Ahh~ he was so cute, but we didnt share any words or nothing and I went back to my room with googly eyes.

So since Im waiting, and doing school work I decided to upload random pictures. Yay~
This is the Ohashi train stop at 7:40 in the morning, Usually its a lot of highschool boys~
The entrance to my dorm.
The view from the roof on my way to the laundry room~
My messy bed haha
This is what my bathroom looks like~ So cute and tiny.
Annnndd my messy desk~ since Im doing school work and stuff :D

Yeah....thats it....I'm going to do more work now

Hot Hot Hot

Ugh It is hot. Today is just...killer.

So last night I went out with a couple other girls I met here in my dorm for some drinks and to go do sparklers since it was the 4th of July and all, in which I had a blast, they were all fantastically nice and magical. However we got home at 2 in the morning and I had to be up at 6 so the whole 4 hours of sleep and looking like the walking dead this morning wasnt so fantasically nice or magical, though I wasnt the only one since everyone else had morning classes as well. Annnyyywwayyyy, So woke up 6 AM thinking the world is ending because my alarm clock is loud as hell and nearly gave me a heart attack, skyped with my family while I put on makeup, multitasking yay, and then drank a cup of water and ran out to catch a train, cause I was worried I was running late.

So I get to the train station and as usual pay 450 to go to Ogori and then hike it up the stairs to check when the train would come. Buuuuuuttttt apparently trains dont like me because the express train to Hanabata or Ogori wasnt showing up, and theres this boy staring me down from the chair next to me like its nobodies buisness. Swear to you, for 10 min. he did not blink and only stared and stared and stared, awkwarddddd. Finally I say F-it and get on the next express train out since I dont want to be late, but it hits all the little stops instead of being awesome and taking me to Ogori quicker. Also as it turns out it was the express to Chikushi so I would have had to get off at Chikushi.

Didn't get off at Chikushi though, got off one stop ahead and got on the local train to Ogori in hopes I would arrive sooner. It was a local train so that was stupid thinking it would be rolling any faster but it was worth a try and I was mildly entertained with watching these two highschool boys rub their friends shaved head while he complained and they giggled. After which I nearly had a heart attack for the second time today when the taller boy decided he wanted to fix his shirt and so he unbuckled his belt, undid his pants and tucked it all right in right there with me thinking he was about to drop trow on the train. He was fast so nothing was revealed? Hahahaha Either way, finally get to Ogori, realize that somewhere in me dancing around in trains I had lost my ticket, so I pay the full price of 450 yet AGAIN to the guy at the gate and dont even bother to be pissy about since I wanted to get to school on time... a dur.

So I get to school, righhhhttt on time~ and take a seat in their little meeting area...thingy? so that Hirao-Sensei can come over and talk to me about my classes. As it turns out I'm in class S-4 (special 4 Hahahaha) and from July to September 2 other guys and I will be learning quickly in order to catch up to another class so we can just merge in. So yeah, then I got my books...like freaking 3 million of them that make my backpack look like the hulk and that weigh me down, and then I had another teacher come to talk about the rules in the school and what goes where and all that magical buisness. I was there from 8:55 till like 12:00 just talking about the school and trying not to fall asleep since I was just super tired.

Just as I was about to leave though I met these two americans who were nice and so we went to go get some tea and talk, They were both in the class that had been there longer and were really cool guys so I didnt mind talking and what not before I headed back here to Ohashi after I stopped for some Curry bread which is so wonderful I think its made of rainbows. Right now Im being lazy, trying to wait to go to sleep since tomorrow I dont have to go to school, I already took all the tests so they told me to just stay home and come back on Thursday to start classes. I think I'll go do laundry since I havent finished that...and then maybe read a book...or take a bath...Idk....Ugh sleepy.

First day???

So offically I moved into my dorm in Ohashi yesterday, and today was the first day I went to the school. However I didnt attend class today, instead I filled out a paper, took 2 tests, and was talked to about my schduel and what I would be doing everyday. Tomorrow I have to go back to the school (8:40 AM) to talk more about the class and what I have to do, before I offically start classes on Thursday.

So after my tests I went to have a quick lunch at Mr. Donut (which was nice) before I returned to the school to talk about my classes yada yada yada, and then I went out to go get my alien registration card done with Mishima-sensei. As it turns out Mishima-sensei spent 9 years in the UK and so we had a nice chat on our way to the registration office about the differnces in Japan and the US and UK, most of it had to do with how people change styles of food in other countries, For example, Hotto Motto apparently sells mexican style food, however it doesnt taste that much like mexican food from the states. And Japanese food in the states is not the same as eating it here in Japan, people change the tastes to suit the costumers kind of thing.

At that time it was drizzeling, not to bad, so we talked our way to the office, got all my papers filled out for my alien registration card and my insurance and then headed for Aeon to walk around. At which point it was pouring down rain like it was no bodies buisness, so I didnt mind that we stopped inside for a cup of coffee while we talked about music and all that. I know, damn we talked a lot, but I guess it was nice for him to practice his english and I didnt really mind. So after coffee we headed back for the train station, in which now we talked about Yakuza since we had saw some guys who didnt really look like very nice people. Mishima-sensei said he used to live next door to a Yakuza family and that at one point there had been a shooting, but later the group from next store came to apologize to his family for all the commotion. After we seperated ways and I came back here to my dorm in Ohashi while trying not to drown outside in the down pour.

My backpack is soaked yet luckily nothing got wet at all, and as of right now I am waiting for my laundry to be done since I just threw some clothes in the wash upstairs. Thus now I am sitting around being lazy and not really doing anything, although I really want some chocolate but am not sure I want to brave the weather and head for the Lawson down the street. Plus I look like a hot mess and all that so I think I'll just lay around and possible read the book I just got. Or try to read...whatever.

Ahhh~ I'm so lonely and bored, mama! Come back! I'm alone without you and Sijia and daddy. -sigh-
